FBS formerly ‘AC Fagan Electrical’ established a service business for general industrial repairs and bakery repairs. In 1998 soon after the business was started, it was realised that the Bakery service had a large gap in its customer focused service and maintenance area. The business grew steadily with its customer base and M.F Australasia approached A.C Fagan Electrical Services to become their Victorian Agents and to carry out their overseas and major installations, this proved to be a very busy and rapid growth for us.

In 2002, FBS as a company was formed and established itself in a firm and competitive position in the market place. FBS built new offices and a showroom and started to offer sales as well as maintenance and service.

Due to non-industrial or financial reasons MFA ceased trading as a company in 2005 whereby Mondial Forni agency was then offered immediately to FBS. On acceptance FBS has grown steadily offering new sales and options and a complete service industry to the Australasian market, some of our best customers are in Tonga, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Noumea etc.

To date the company has grown steadily and within the limits of its staff and capabilities have enjoyed a great reputation for honesty and good service.

‘From small acorns to large oak trees grow’, and this has been the philosophy of our companies growth so far in 2007 and still there is so much planned for F.B.S:

• A new trainee has been listed to join the staff.
• Our new Retarder Provers to be advertised.
• Promote our industrial division and to support there growth in the world market.
• To supply the rapidly expanding ‘Artizan Bakeries’ with machinery/ovens with high quality and prover performance.
• To build relationships with agents in all states.

Alan Fagan was born in England in 1965, his parents; Margaret and Christopher had both emigrated from Ireland. The Fagan family were formerly in the dairy business and had commandeered a large company for quite some time. Unfortunately both Ireland and the company fell on bad times and it closed.

Alan served an apprenticeship in United Biscuits/McVities as a Maintenance Electrician on all the plant equipment and worked there for 12 years. At the end of his apprenticeship he won the Queen Mother’s Award and represented the United Kingdom in Australia. He immediately liked the country and made it a goal to emigrate there.

In 1993, Alan, his wife and baby daughter emigrated. Alan found work with A.P.V and carried out many overseas and installations, such as Russia, Turkmenistan, Brunei, and Fiji. Alan worked for the Industrial Bakery/Industrial/Refrigeration and Retail Bakery Departments and assisted with large projects at Four’n’Twenty, Tip Top etc.

When APV divided its company, Alan took up employment with Moffat and worked as a service technician for some years, and then ran the service department. During this time his second daughter was born. It was then in 1998 that Alan decided to leave Moffat and start his own business.

A.C Fagan Electrical Services was created and positively grew, another two years later and the Fagan twins were born and so too did ‘Fagan Bakery Services Pty Ltd’ as we became the Australasian Agents for Mondial Forni in Italy.
